Apartment 601/5 Caravel Lane     and    Apartment 302/2 New Quay Promenade

These apartments are located within the Docklands precinct and conveniently close to all amenities and transport. The Docklands precinct has some great restaurants.  Alternatively, if eating in, all the requisite shops are close by.  Transport to the city and all it offers is close at had and the Docklands stadium is a pleasant walk from the apartment.  If arriving from the airport and/or driving to the apartment the location is both easy to get to as well as getting out of when departing.  Key pick-up and return is only a couple of minutes walk away.


Both apartments are modern with all the necessary appointments for a comfortable stay.  There are fully equipped kitchens, modern bathrooms and a separate laundry.  Floor-to-ceiling windows and an open plan living area opening out onto the balcony with lovely water views. WiFi is not provided.

On level 4 there are lovely gardens, the gym and an outdoor swimming pool (heated only in summer) for 601 and indoor all seasons pool for 302.

Secure parking is available.

601 has three bedrooms with max six persons; master with queen bed and en-suite, with queen bed and queen /split 2 single beds in other bedrooms.

302 has two bedrooms with max four persons; master with queen bed and en-suite with king / split 2 single bed in second bedroom.

If you intend to visit with a baby then speak with the Managing Agent about availability of a travel cot and highchair.

The apartments are located within a residential complex and, as such, guests are asked not to generate noise which may be offensive to residents.  Offensive and unnecessary noise will result in guests being asked to vacate the premises.


These apartments may be let on a minimum two night stay or weekly basis.

Rates From 1 July 2018

Apartment 601 - 3 Bedrooms                                                      Apartment 302 - 2 Bedrooms 

For Army Members 

$190.00 per night; and                                                                        $175.00 per night; and

$1140.00 for 7 nights.                                                                          $1000.00 for 7 nights.

For all other eligible members:

$220.00 per night; and                                                                        $200.00 per night; and

$1,320.00 for 7 nights.                                                                         $1200.00 for 7 nights.

Baby cot and high-chair are available from the Managing Agent at a small fee.

In recognition of the demand for holiday properties in areas such as Docklands, weekly stays will be limited to a single booking (not back to back).  All bookings will require a deposit payable in advance.  The deposit will be the equivalent to one nights accommodation and it must be paid directly to the managing agent at the time of making a booking.

Full payment must be made before occupancy commences.

Cancellation of bookings must be made direct to the management agent.  The management agent is not responsible to provide a refund or approve a refund - the AAF Company can only do this.  Refund requests will be forward from the management team to the Secretary, AAF Company.  Refund request made outside a four-week period of a confirmed booking may be expected to be approved.  Refund requests within a four-week period will be at the discretion of the AAF Company Secretary or Operations Manager.

If arriving after 6pm, guests will need to advise Docklands Private Collection as a self book-in may need to be arranged.  Also, guests will need to advise if parking is required.

Arrivals on any day are to be from 2pm onwards.  Departures by 11am.

The preference for bookings is by phone or email, when making a booking ask for the Army Amenities Fund apartments.

The following details are required for all booking requests:

You will be required to verify your eligibility by providing your PMKeyS Number; rank; full name and Unit or workplace details for serving ADF and Defence civilians.  Retired ADF members are required to provide proof of service and or a current retired ADF superannuants identity number.  Defence Contractors are required to provide their employment details.  This information is required by anyone making a booking and is to be provided to the managing agent when requested.  To maintain the integrity of the booking system, your details may be verified at the time of check-in.  Any concerns should be addressed to the AAF Company Secretariat and not taken up with the booking staff.

The following are eligible to use AAF Company holiday facilities:

  • Army Regular and Reserve may book 12  months in advance, and

All other categories may book 6 months in advance, those being:

  • Navy and Air Force Regular and Reserve
  • Retired ADF personnel
  • Serving members of Overseas Forces
  • Defence Civilians
  • Defence Contractors
  • Family of the above when staying with an eligible member unless eligible member is deployed.
  • Defence Contractors
  • Defence Bank and Military Bank Staff.
